//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 2221 SUBJECT: IPN triangulation of GRB030509 (single error box) DATE: 03/05/09 16:44:59 GMT FROM: Kevin Hurley at UCBerkeley/SSL K. Hurley, on behalf of the Ulysses GRB team, E. Mazets and S. Golenetskii, on behalf of the Konus-Wind GRB team, A. von Kienlin, G. Lichti, and A. Rau, on behalf of the INTEGRAL SPI-ACS GRB team, and T. Cline, on behalf of the Ulysses and Konus GRB teams, report: Ulysses, Konus-Wind, and INTEGRAL (SPI-ACS) observed this GRB at 21024 seconds. As observed by Ulysses, it had a duration of approximately 9 seconds, a 25-100 keV fluence of approximately 1.2E-05 erg/cm2, and a peak flux of approximately 7.5E-06 erg/cm2 s over 0.50 seconds. We have triangulated it to a preliminary, 3 sigma error box whose area is approximately 275 sq. arcmin. and whose coordinates are: RA(2000) DEC(2000) 5 h 26 m 24.19 s 7 o 8 ' 47.66 " (CENTER) 5 h 29 m 29.24 s 6 o 5 ' 7.72 " (CORNER) 5 h 29 m 32.20 s 6 o 7 ' 4.37 " (CORNER) 5 h 23 m 14.12 s 8 o 11 ' 55.65 " (CORNER) 5 h 23 m 16.87 s 8 o 13 ' 58.39 " (CORNER) This error box may be improved, but it is not known at this point whether this event was observed by Mars Odyssey, and thus whether a significantly smaller error box can be derived for it. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 2222 SUBJECT: IPN triangulation of GRB030509 - correction DATE: 03/05/09 20:14:19 GMT FROM: Kevin Hurley at UCBerkeley/SSL K. Hurley, on behalf of the Ulysses GRB team, reports: The confidence region for one dimension of the error box of this burst (GCN 2221) was underestimated. The correct, 3 sigma error box coordinates are: RA(2000) DEC(2000) 5 h 26 m 24.19 s 7 o 8 ' 47.66 " (CENTER) 5 h 39 m 9.75 s 2 o 55 ' 0.26 " (CORNER) 5 h 39 m 12.94 s 2 o 56 ' 49.85 " (CORNER) 5 h 12 m 55.57 s 11 o 46 ' 51.06 " (CORNER) 5 h 12 m 57.81 s 11 o 49 ' 7.90 " (CORNER) The area of this error box is approximately 1100 square arcminutes. I regret any inconvenience caused by this mistake. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 2223 SUBJECT: IPN triangulation of GRB030509 (small errror box) DATE: 03/05/09 23:35:14 GMT FROM: Kevin Hurley at UCBerkeley/SSL K. We have triangulated it to a preliminary, 3 sigma error box with approximate area 124 square arcminutes whose coordinates are: RA(2000) DEC(2000) ERROR BOX CENTER: 5 h 14 m 49.82 s 11 o 8 ' 16.84 " (CENTER) ERROR BOX CORNER 1: 5 h 14 m 18.14 s 11 o 17 ' 52.48 " (CORNER) ERROR BOX CORNER 2: 5 h 16 m 46.58 s 10 o 25 ' 53.82 " (CORNER) ERROR BOX CORNER 3: 5 h 12 m 55.74 s 11 o 49 ' 57.16 " (CORNER) ERROR BOX CORNER 4: 5 h 15 m 21.64 s 10 o 58 ' 38.79 " (CORNER) This error box may be improved. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 2226 SUBJECT: IPN triangulation of GRB030509B (annulus) DATE: 03/05/12 16:14:49 GMT FROM: Kevin Hurley at UCBerkeley/SSL K. Hurley, on behalf of the Ulysses GRB team, E. Mazets and S. Golenetskii, on behalf of the Konus-Wind GRB team, and T. Cline, on behalf of the Ulysses and Konus GRB teams, report: Ulysses and Konus-Wind observed this GRB at 62905 seconds. As observed by Ulysses, it had a duration of approximately 7 seconds, a 25-100 keV fluence of approximately 3.8E-06 erg/cm2, and a peak flux of approximately 3.1E-07 erg/cm2 s over 0.50 seconds. We have triangulated it to a preliminary annulus centered at RA, Decl(2000)= 332.088, -36.396 degrees, whose radius is 73.096 +/- 0.108 degrees (3 sigma ). This annulus can be improved and/or constrained, but as the event was not observed by Mars Odyssey, a small error box cannot be derived for it.
