Hurley, on behalf of the Ulysses GRB team, T. Cline, on behalf of the Konus-Wind and NEAR GRB teams, and E. Mazets and S. Golenetskii, on behalf of the Konus-Wind GRB team, report: Ulysses, Konus-Wind, and NEAR observed this burst at 50427 s UT. As observed by Ulysses, it had a duration of ~10 s, a 25-100 keV fluence of ~1.5x10^-5 erg/cm^2, and a peak flux over 0.5 s of 2.4x10^-6 erg/cm^2 s. We have triangulated this burst to two preliminary, 3 sigma error boxes whose areas are ~65 sq. arcmin. each, and whose coordinates are: RA(2000) DEC(2000) 4 h 44 m 52.18 s 35 o 26 ' 0.98 " (CENTER) 4 h 43 m 20.48 s 35 o 1 ' 20.71 " (CORNER) 4 h 45 m 0.15 s 35 o 26 ' 28.23 " (CORNER) 4 h 44 m 44.21 s 35 o 25 ' 33.76 " (CORNER) 4 h 46 m 27.00 s 35 o 51 ' 11.65 " (CORNER) OR RA(2000) DEC(2000) 8 h 25 m 45.53 s 60 o 3 ' 46.10 " (CENTER) 8 h 29 m 50.81 s 60 o 8 ' 47.57 " (CORNER) 8 h 25 m 36.30 s 60 o 2 ' 32.33 " (CORNER) 8 h 25 m 54.77 s 60 o 4 ' 59.81 " (CORNER) 8 h 21 m 35.82 s 59 o 58 ' 8.41 " (CORNER) These error boxes may be improved; in particular, it may be possible to determine which is the correct box within a few hours. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 760 SUBJECT: IPN localization of GRB000730B DATE: 00/08/01 15:35:11 GMT FROM: Kevin Hurley at UCBerkeley/SSL S. Golenetskii and E. Mazets, on behalf of the Konus-Wind GRB team, T. Cline, on behalf of the Konus-Wind and NEAR GRB teams, and K. Hurley, on behalf of the Ulysses GRB team, report: An analysis of the Konus data indicates that the second error box for this burst (GCN 759) is the correct one, i.e.: RA(2000) DEC(2000) 8 h 25 m 45.53 s 60 o 3 ' 46.10 " (CENTER) 8 h 29 m 50.81 s 60 o 8 ' 47.57 " (CORNER) 8 h 25 m 36.30 s 60 o 2 ' 32.33 " (CORNER) 8 h 25 m 54.77 s 60 o 4 ' 59.81 " (CORNER) 8 h 21 m 35.82 s 59 o 58 ' 8.41 " (CORNER) A network problem at GSFC has been delaying the receipt of the full Konus data set for several days, which explains why this ambiguity could not be resolved earlier. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 772 SUBJECT: GRB000730, Gamma Ray Observations DATE: 00/08/16 15:12:44 GMT FROM: Srikanta Sinha at ISRO/ISAC S. Sinha, P. sreekumar, K. kasturirangan, on behalf of SROSS C-2 (INDIAN GRB EXPERIMENT) team report: SROSS C-2 observed this burst at 1800.966 s UT (this time may be off by a few hundred ms). as observed by SROSS C-2, it had a duration (T90) of 0.352 secs (352 ms), a 20-1024 keV fluence (not corrected for the sec (theta) factor since we donot know its location) equal to 6.56.10-5 +- 2.18.10-6 ergs cm-2. The peak flux (256 ms) in 20-100 keV band is 8.81 photons cm-2 sec-1 and the peak flux (256 ms) in 100-1024 keV band is 9.85 photons cm-2 sec-1. The hardness ratio ((100-1024 keV)/(20-100 keV)) for this burst is equal to 0.47 +- 0.082. This message is quotable in publications. -Srikanta Sinha, on behalf of the SROSS C-2 (INDIAN GRB EXPT. TEAM) at the Technical Physics Division, ISRO Satellite Center, Bangalore-560 017, INDIA. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// TITLE: GCN GRB OBSERVATION REPORT NUMBER: 773 SUBJECT: GRB000801 & GRB000730, Gamma Ray Observations DATE: 00/08/17 15:10:08 GMT FROM: Srikanta Sinha at ISRO/ISAC S.Sinha, P.Sreekumar, K.Kasturirangan, on behalf of SROSS C-2 (INDIAN GRB EXPERIMENT) team report: The hardness ratios (during the peak of the bursts) for GRB000801 and GRB000730 were reported by us to be 0.27+-0.08 and 0.47 +-0.082 respectively. Our hardness ratio is defined as [counts(100-1024 keV)/counts(20-100 keV)]. For twenty-one SROSS C-2 GRBs that are common with BATSE, we find the mean hardness ratio to be 0.97 +- 0.079 and the standard deviation of this distribution is 0.37. The hardness ratios for the GRB000801 (GCN 768) and GRB000730 (GCN 772) may be interpreted on the basis of above mentioned data. This message is quotable in publications. -Srikanta Sinha, on behalf of the SROSS C-2 (INDIAN GRB EXPT. TEAM) at the Technical Physics Division, ISRO Satellite Center, Bangalore-560 017,INDIA.
