This IPN localization is preliminary. The "total width" of the annulus was selected to include all known uncertainties and systematics. The final analysis will reduce this width. All follow-up queries should be addressed to Kevin Hurley (UC Berkeley, khurley@sunspot.ssl.berkeley.edu). SPECIAL NOTES: This is the first of the newly (mostly) automated notices. As such the IPN annulus is based only on the 1-sec sampled DISCLA BATSE data (instead of the usual high time resolution BATSE rate data). The newly automated aspect is that the BACODINE program transfers the 1-sec DISCLA data to Kevin Hurley in minutes instead of him waiting for the high time resolution data from Huntsville that takes longer (days to a week or two). So now the slow link in this process is getting the daily data dumps from Ulysses. We have doubled the annulus_width (uncertainty) to cover any problems. Later, these will be relaxed back to the normal values when the new method is 100% validated. This IPN annulus is tabulated below along the segment that intersects a combination of the BACODINE and Huntsville error circles. The position of maximum probability is marked.
