Jelinek (IAA-CSIC), report on behalf of a larger collaboration: We carried out R-band observations of the GRB 090628 XRT position (Sbarufatti et al., GCN 9586) with the 1.23m Calar Alto telescope. The observations were done on June 28.9486-29.0225 UT (1.43-3.20 hours post GRB) with an exposure time of 3120s. A quick inspection of the XRT error box reveals no object brighter than R ~ 22.
