TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 31525 SUBJECT: IPN triangulation of GRB 220124A DATE: 22/01/25 15:07:51 GMT FROM: Dmitry Svinkin at Ioffe Institute A.S. Kozyrev, D.V. Golovin, M.L. Litvak, I.G. Mitrofanov, and A.B. Sanin on behalf of the HEND/Mars Odyssey team, D. Svinkin, D. Frederiks, A. Ridnaia, A. Lysenko, and T. Cline on behalf of the Konus-Wind team, A. von Kienlin, X. Zhang, A. Rau, V. Savchenko, E. Bozzo, and C. Ferrigno, on behalf of the INTEGRAL SPI-ACS GRB team, S. Barthelmy, J. Cummings, H. Krimm, D. Palmer, and A. Tohuvavohu on behalf of the Swift-BAT team, and W. Boynton, C. Fellows, K. Harshman, H. Enos, R. Starr, and A.S. Gardner on behalf of the GRS-Odyssey GRB team, report: The long-duration GRB 220124A (AstroSat-CZTI detection: Prasad et al., GCN Circ. 31521; GECAM detection: Liu et al., GCN Circ. 31524) has been detected by AstroSat (CZTI), Konus-Wind, Swift (BAT), INTEGRAL (SPI-ACS), Mars-Odyssey (HEND), CALET (CGBM), and GECAM-B (GRD) ,so far, at about 13058 s UT (03:37:38). The burst was outside the coded field of view of the BAT. We have triangulated it to a preliminary, 3 sigma error box whose coordinates are: --------------------------------------------- RA(2000), deg Dec(2000), deg --------------------------------------------- Center: 241.945 (16h 07m 47s) +41.979 (+41d 58' 45") Corners: 244.220 (16h 16m 53s) +42.801 (+42d 48' 02") 239.771 (15h 59m 05s) +41.164 (+41d 09' 51") 239.711 (15h 58m 51s) +41.082 (+41d 04' 54") 244.155 (16h 16m 37s) +42.723 (+42d 43' 23") --------------------------------------------- The error box area is 678 sq. arcmin, and its maximum dimension is 3.8 deg (the minimum one is 3.1 arcmin). The Sun distance was 84 deg. This box may be improved. A triangulation map is posted at http://www.ioffe.ru/LEA/GRBs/GRB220124_T13059/IPN/ The Konus-Wind time history and spectrum will be given in a forthcoming GCN Circular.
