TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 26859 SUBJECT: GRB 200122A: Swift/UVOT Upper Limits DATE: 20/01/22 23:29:02 GMT FROM: Mike Siegel at PSU/Swift MOC A. Belles (PSU) and E. Sonbas (Adiyaman Univ.) report on behalf of the Swift/UVOT team: The Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 200122A 82 s after the BAT trigger (Sonbas et al., GCN Circ. 26844). No optical afterglow consistent with the XRT position (Osborne et al. GCN Circ. 26846) is detected in the initial UVOT exposures. Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system (Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the first finding chart (FC) exposure and subsequent exposures are: Filter T_start(s) T_stop(s) Exp(s) Mag white_fc 82 232 147 >21.1 u_fc 294 544 246 >20.9 white 82 5672 627 >21.7 v 624 6083 352 >19.4 b 550 5467 333 >20.6 u 294 1844 363 >20.7 w1 674 1472 58 >20.1 m2 6088 6276 186 >19.5 w2 5678 5878 197 >20.3 The magnitudes in the table are not corrected for the Galactic extinction due to the reddening of E(B-V) = 0.03 in the direction of the burst (Schlegel et al. 1998).
